Kissimmee Bass Fishing

Fall is here and so are the fall schoolies. The lake is up about 55.5 feet above sea level, so the fish are moving around. Find hydrilla under the surface and the fish will be on top use med wild shiners. For bigger fish use large wild shiners. For artificial baits use large plastic worms June Bug or Red Bug and find moving water. Good Luck Good Fishing.

Fall Bass Fishing

Thursday, September 22. 2011
Well fall is here and the bass are doing what they are expected to do, schooling. Most of the fish are in 1lb to 3lb range, but if you use some big shiners there are a few bigger ones out there in the 4lb to 7lb range and bigger. The hydrilla is beginning to come up to the surface out in the middle. So fishing shiners is not good there, find where it is about 1 ft to 2 ft below the surface to fish live bait. And for artificial baits use senkos, frogs or top water baits with white bottoms. Remember keep only what you can eat that day and release the rest. If we don't start conserving our resources now there want be any in the years to come. Good Luck.

Summertime Fishing

Friday, August 19. 2011
Summertime fishing when it is HOT got to go early and don't stay too long about 11am it gets too hot to fish and the fish don't want to bite anyway. But no matter how hot it gets the fish still have to eat just go early. Look for schoolies hitting the top of the water, through a top water bait or better yet a senko or tiki stick worm with no sinker junebug works great. The water temp today was in the upper 80s, up the creeks it's a litter cooler but the creeks get allot of pressure this time of year, try to stay out of them. Fish the points and the rising hydrilla. I have had 2 to 3 family charters every week this past month and everybody is catching fish. I'm using medium shiners but the other week I notice the bigger ones are catching bigger fish 4 to 7 pounds. About 10am we go up the creek and go to the swimming hole and cool off. Good Luck and Good Fishing

Summer time bass fishing is great. No worries about cold fronts coming down and screwing up the fishing. The bass are out in the middle above the hydrilla and above any of the fish attractors that the state put there years ago. Use medium or large wild shiners early morning or late evening. Our morning charters leave the dock at 6am, afternoon charters leave the dock at 4pm. For artificial bait use Tiki Sticks or Senkos rig Carolina style. Good Luck

Blue Gill Fishing Big Lake toho

The blue gills are bedding if you want to catch big blue gills then now is the time, so far I have counted over 100 beds this week with fish still in them. Summer bass fishing has started, we are catching alot of smaller 3 to 7 lb range using medium shiners, but the big one are still there use large shiners over the hydrilla beds for them. Good luck and release you catch.

Orlando Bass Fishing

This year the state FWC killed off the hydrilla a little more than the guides would have liked it. The bass school up on top of the hydrilla this time of year and if you find it about half way up the water colume then you can fish on top of it and catch bass all day. So we are having to look in other places to find fish. But thats what we do we are proffessional guides that do nothing but fish every day. But if you don't fish this lake every day than you may have a tough time getting on the fish. Use large wild shiners if you can find them the bigger the bait the bigger the bass. On plastic use 10" worms colors in june bug or june bug red, or a senko watermellon blue flake or red shad. Good luck and please release your catch.

The Bass fishing on Big Lake Toho couldn't be better. You will find most of the 3 to 6 pounders in and around the kissimmee grass and alligator grass, just get up in front of the grass through a large wild shiner near the grass and hold on. Some of the bigger bass have moved out onto the hydrilla, get the biggest shiners you can and fish early morning and late afternoon. Please release your catch to fight another day. Good Luck

Spring is here and the pre spawn is on. Some local tournaments are producing Big Bass up to 12lb. On our charters customers are catching Bass from 4lbs up to 10lbs and plenty of them. The tournament guys are using fluks, big 10 inch worms, spinner baits and flipping jigs. Most of our fish are caught on large shiners. Fishing is HOT right now so come on down and get out of that SNOW and cold weather. Today temp is in the low 80s next week it will be the upper 70s and low 80s and the water temp is in the low 70s. Lets Go Fishing.

Orlando Bass Fishing

Big Lake Toho is turning out some realy nice fish this past Saturday there was a bass tournament winning weight was 22 lb out of 5 fish. Not a lot of double digit bass being caught but a 10 lb was caught in the tournament. Water is about 82 degrees F and that means the schoolies will start running. Use medium wild shiners for the schoolies and large wild for bigger bass. For artificial baits use the old reliable plastic worms 9 or 10 inch, and plastic frog (for colors call me)work well along with white buzz baits early morning. Good Luck

The weather is hot and so are the bass. Early morning before it gets too hot is the best time to fish. Large wild shinners will always catch fish but using large plastic worms like june bug and watermellon red work as well, small top water baits work well on the schoolies. This week Wednesday night pot tournament winning weight 23 lb for 5 fish big fish 10.8 lb. I hear a lot of anglers coming down from up north and saying thats there no fish in this lake. All I got to say to that is, if you want to find out where the fish are and what to use to catch them Hire a Guide. Good Luck

NO OIL!

Friday, June 4. 2010
There is NO OIL in South West Flordia! We are catching alot of big Snook. A fishing buddy of mine was out 140 to 180 miles this week and told me that the water is BEAUTIFUL, and the fishing is fantastic, nice grouper and red snapper. Closer in, Cobia and permit on the recks. Pompano, Tarpon, and Snook on the beaches. Inshore the Mackeral are ever where. Trout are in the grass, Reds in the mangroves. It's hot (just right) and the fish are laying out there with their mouth open looking up at the sky. This is a great time to be fishing! Let's go!!!

For the big ones use large wild shinners and big plastic june bug color worms, red shad flucks, green frogs, and buzz baites or spinner baites work just as well, early morning or late afternoon. The blue gill are starting to pick up around the kissimmee grass and up the creeks, use crickets or red wigglers. Good Luck
